Above and Beyond" is a series of over 450 6" x 6" encaustic paintings created over the course of 4 years (2008-2011). Though often displayed in grids, each piece is unique and individually created, incorporating encaustic, mixed media, neglected everyday items and forgotten found-objects of the past.

They are glimpses into the often overlooked nooks in nature combined with the underappreciated salvaged specimens of time. Together, they reclaim both object and memory in a new perspective... one which is above and beyond the expected.
